At midnight on January 1st, many people made a New Year’s resolution to get fit. Well, that’s exactly what Honda hopes you intend to do. Yesterday at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), the Japanese automaker introduced its all-new 2015 Honda Fit.
On the outside, the car has a very distinct aerodynamic slope that creates ideal downforce. In addition to the grille that seamlessly transitions into sharp headlights, angled grooves that span the side of the car give a little extra character. Though it appears small in stature, the engineers and designers at Honda spared no effort in maximizing the interior space.
The Fit’s 1.5-liter engine gets a few extra horsepower from its direct fuel injection design. Honda provides two transmission options: a six-speed manual and a continuously automatic with paddle shifters.
Here’s the really cool part that Honda announced yesterday at the unveiling: The 2015 Honda Fit has a $60 option that will allow you to run your smart phone’s navigation on the interior display. Furthermore, the touch screen gives you the ability to tap, swipe, pinch and zoom, just like a tablet.
Other safety options, such as a rear view camera, are also available.
