In all of the bustle of covering automotive news, some stories temporarily slip through the cracks. We at AutoPark Honda would be terribly remiss if we didn’t inform you of an exciting announcement from your favorite automaker. Honda, at the recent New York Auto Show, confirmed that a new model will reach American showroom floors in 2015.
This new model, which enters the highly popular crossover segment, was initially revealed at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show. Its international designation is the Vezel; however, bringing a European name to the American market might be viewed as, well, a bit tumescent. When the version is released in the United States, it will be known as the HR-V.
Not much is yet known about the vehicle’s specifications, but we can confirm – thanks to a report from Motor Authority – that it will share the Fit’s 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, as well as a front-wheel drive platform. As time rolls on and more details are disclosed, we will be certain to pass that information along to you.
If you have any questions about the Honda line or are in the market for a new car, we encourage you to stop down at AutoPark Honda to speak with one of our brand specialists. Any of us will be happy to show you exactly why Honda is Kelley Blue Book’s 2014 Overall Best Brand award winner.
